On Anabelle's birthday, we went to Joey's 7th birthday party at the pool. It was a great time and the kids had a lot of fun. It was nice to see everyone and just hang out!
Anabelle loved being in the pool, but Brady really didn't go in the pool that much. I really didn't want him to go in the pool that much because I didn't want him getting sick for his surgery and then having to cancel his surgery. Now the surgery has come and gone and he is currently recovering. He had fun playing with the dog when everyone was swimming.
May has been an extremely busy month for us as it was both Anabelle and Brady's birthday month. We are caked/partied out! :) This year we gave the kids two birthday parties...one at Chuck E Cheese for all of their school friends and one at our house for friends and family. We had really good turn outs for both. The kids had a blast and loved all of their presents! Thanks everyone!!
Since Anabelle's birthday ended up being on a Saturday, I took her and Brady to TGIF's for dinner. When we were done eating, the employees all came out to sing Happy Birthday to Anabelle...she LOVED it! Brady's birthday landed on a Wednesday this year, so he picked to go out to eat to McDonald's, and then we took the kids to DQ for ice cream once Jason got home from work.
For school, I made each of them a birthday cake so that they could celebrate their special day with their friends. Brady's teacher told me that Brady just LOVED everyone singing to him and that he just ATE it up! I would have loved to seen that. I can just picture him now! :)
Here's a slideshow with some pics from their birthdays/parties...
Four years ago today at about 8:30am the doctor broke my water, and our little boy, Brady, was born at 9:36am...a whole 8 lbs 10 ozs...almost twice the size of Anabelle when she was born just a year earlier. When Brady was born, one of the nurses made a comment on how broad Brady's shoulders were. He was a big boy then and he's a big boy now! :)
Brady has one of the best personalities that I have ever seen in a little kid. Not a day goes by where I don't laugh at something that he has said or done. Just last night at bath time, he asked me if I've ever seen a flying pee pee before. I told him that I never did, so he showed me...what a little character! He's always doing something crazy to make us laugh! Everyone who meets him falls in love with him instantly...he just has that affect on people. I'm so glad and proud to be his mommy.
His favorite thing to do right now is watch cartoons. One of his favorite cartoons is Sponge Bob. He is famous for picking out DVD's and loading them into the TV all by himself to watch them.
He loves to cuddle with his blankie and rub his fingers on it just like his daddy. It's so funny how both of them like to do that so much.
Before I know it, Brady will be turning five just like his sissy and will be off to Kindergarten. I just don't know where the time goes. When they were babies, I wanted them to hurry up and grow up to listen to them talk and walk, but now I wish I wouldn't have wished the baby years away because they just went by too fast.

Happy Birthday Brady, our Santa baby!! Mommy and Daddy love you sooooooooo much!! We hope you have a wonderful day today!! Hope all your birthday wishes come true!!
XOXOXOXOX
Off to DQ in the Jeep to get some birthday ice cream...YUM!!
At this time five years ago, Jason and I were very proud parents to our brand new baby girl. She came into this world with a bang...a whole 2 months early. It was a very scary and emotional time for us. It seemed like we were on a roller coaster ride for a whole month...lots of ups and downs. It was not fun. She came into this world struggling for every breath, and today she's a little ball of fire! :) You would never know she was a preemie.
She has gone from this...
to this...
She has gone from baby supplies to school supplies, tricycles to bicycles, watching Dora the Explorer to iCarly (I even caught her singing the theme song to iCarly when it was coming on the other night...so cute!), having friends to "boyfriends", baby talk to talking to me like she is going on 13 (telling me not to throw sucker sticks out the window because that is littering), speaking English to speaking some Spanish, having drama at school with the girls (yep...her and her bff Lexie are the queen bees! :)), scribbling to coloring like a true little artist, etc. One thing that has not changed is her love for her "pink". :) She amazes me every day with what she says and does.
Here is a little video that I made last year that I just love! Every time I hear the song, I can't help but think of Anabelle and get all emotional...
One of my favorite baby pic of our sweet Belle...
When I was at Kindergarten roundup a couple of weeks ago, I almost lost it when I got to the school supplies station. I think it just **BAM** hit me. I had to look away from the lady for a minute because I started getting all teary eyed just thinking that here I was buying school supplies for my little girl...where did the time go??
She has asked me a couple of times today if she is really 5 now, and I tell her yes she is and then next time she will be 6! :)
Here she is Thursday night helping me make a cake for her class the next day...
Here she is yesterday morning holding her cake...

What is a Mother?
A Mother is not just the word that is given a woman who gives birth to a child.
Through love and caring she earns the title of Mother or Ma...or Mom
She is a woman who can be stern without intimidation; without harming the child's soul.
She is a woman who forms a child's mind as well as it's body... with loving care.
She is a woman who keeps promises, whether for rewards or discipline to teach responsibility to her child.
She is a builder of character by doing, not just saying, what is wholesome for her child.
She is a woman who tenderly heals the scrapes and cuts, as well as disappointments of her child.
She is a woman who takes pride in all the smallest of progress and events in her child's life.
She is a former a builder a healer a teacher She is a Mother, often while having a career.
Anybody can be a mom but it takes a real woman to be a mother

She was there at the beginning When the world was new to you - She was there to turn to happy times Those when, you were hurt or blue.
She was there to listen to your thoughts And when you asked, to give advice - She was there to tell you, "Those don't match!" Or, "Hon, you sure look nice."
She was there with you at nighttime To help you say your prayers _ She was there to tell you, "It's alright." When you had a dream that scares.
She was there at morning time To get you up and out of bed - She was there when you didn't feel good (or did) To say, "You'd best stay home, instead."
She was there when you were hungry And when you had those dirty clothes - She was there when you needed her (How she knew? Only heaven knows.)
She was there at the beginning And she'll be there your whole life through - She'll be there in your mind and heart Just like a mother is supposed to do.

When I was working out at the gym the other day, Taylor Swift's new video "The Best Day" came on and it is so fitting for Mother's Day! It is a great video! She has a wonderful relationship with her mom...one of which I intend to have with my babies now and forever! :)
I was going through some old pictures on my phone the other day and came across some good ones.
This particular picture of Brady was taken around Halloween time when I took the kids shopping for their Halloween costumes. I had Brady try the Superman costume on and thought that he looked so darn adorable in it! I just had to take a pic! He ended up being Batman instead.
Every Friday at 10am, my place of work puts on Cafe Time where the mailroom clerk goes to Jewel and buys lots of food...cookies, crackers and cheese, fruit, vegetable tray, trail mix, bagels, etc. It's a time where everyone visits with one another for about a half hour and fills their bellies. It would be my breakfast/lunch for the day. My plate was always F-U-L-L!
As of this week, Cafe Time has been cancelled to cut back on costs. It will be revisited in the fall. Although I will miss eating all of the great food and chatting with my co-workders, it will be good thing for my waistline! I will also not miss watching that FOOD VULTURE who scrounges up the crumbs with his fingers and then eats over the damn food! Can you tell that I really can't stand him? LOL!
Here's a pic of my plate from a few weeks ago that I texted to my hubby when I was chilling at Cafe Time! :)
