A Day With Their Daddy

Jason had to take a day off of work in the middle of a bunch of overtime so he took Veteran's day off to spend the day with the kids. They had a great day together! They've been missing their daddy so much with how much he has been working. We are loving the 40 hour job that he is on now! YEAH!! :)

They took the jeep out to lunch to the Mexican restaurant where Brady loves to speak Spanish to the amigos that work there. They get a kick out of him!

These are the pictures that Jason texted me when they were out and about. They had a great time!

My Birthday

Jason and the kids made my birthday last month extra special....flowers, cake, and dinner! What more could a girl ask for. Couldn't have been any better of a day! :)

First Snowman

A couple of weeks ago, we made a snowman with the kids. It was their first snowman that they ever made, and it turned out great! We had a fun family day together.

Here are some pics of our fun snowman making day...

Shoveling Buddies

A couple of weeks ago when it snowed, Jason and Brady shoveled our drive. Brady was such a good little helper and had a blast doing it!

Last week, when it snowed again, we came home from work and someone had our driveway snow blowed clean! How great it is to have such nice neighbors...not sure who did it yet...but have a pretty good idea. It was very much appreciated!! Thanks!! :)

Halloween

Our subdivision has got to be the BEST place ever to go trick-or-treating!! We've got the Beetlejuice house, the jello shot house, a couple of different houses that have haunted garages that you can walk through, a really cool house that has their yard totally decked out in scary creatures, etc. Each year we go with a group of friends and we have a blast! The weather was fairly decent as the kids did not have to wear any type of coat that would cover up their costumes. This year Anabelle was Morticia, and Brady was a pirate. Even Jason dressed up this year as a scary backwards clown. The kids got a kick out of it!

After we got home from trick or treating, we headed to my brother's house. He has a whole haunted house themed yard that he puts on each year scaring anyone who comes up for candy. His yard looked really really good! Jason was all set to be part of the action as he was still in his costume, but the "party" was already over. :)

ARRRRRRGGG MATEY!

Anabelle - The Cheerleader

About a month ago, Anabelle brought home her first Kindergarten project. Her teacher sent each student home with a 3 ft cut out of a body on paper. They were to make this cut out body look like themselves. The day that Anabelle brought hers home, she took it out of her bookbag and was ready to start coloring on it. Good thing Jason walked through the door when he did because he made me realize that this was probably supposed to be a big project that we were supposed to help her with. He was right. I found the paper that explained what we were supposed to do. The parents were supposed to help their child with it and have fun. Ideas she gave was to get buttons to make the clotes look real or use real clothes to put on it, blow up a picture of him/her for their face, etc. I was thinking oh no! This is gonna take some time! The project wasn't due for 2-3 weeks. Good thing Anabelle has her daddy to help her with the big projects because I don't think her mommy would do as good of a job as her daddy does. :)

Meet Anabelle...the cheerleader! :)

She has pom poms, Nike cheerleading shoes with shoe laces, UnderArmor name brand cheerleading outfit, etc....all decked out in her school colors.

Anabelle and Jason had a lot of fun with this project. I have designated him as the "project parent". I will just stick to the easy day to day stuff. :)

It was nice to see all of her classmates and her "persons" displayed in the hallway for Parent-Teacher conferences. I'm thinking this project is a keeper. :)

Fishin' Buddies

On Sunday, I took Anabelle to her little friend's birthday party to a bouncy house place, which was really cool. The kids had a blast. Anabelle was a little reluctant to go in everything at first, but once she found Allie, they were off and running. They are at such a cute age where they are getting invited to each others birthday parties, having boyfriends, etc. :). I can't wait to see what goes on at Anabelle and Brady's party next month with having all of their little friends there!

While we were out having our "girls day" on Sunday, Brady and Jason had a "boys day" of their own. Jason took Brady fishing for the first time out at the club. Jason has just been so busy working the past couple of years that he just hasn't had the time to go fishing but made it a point to take Brady out fishing on Sunday.

When I was at home with Anabelle, I received a text message from Jason that had this picture attached....

How SWEEEEEET is that?!?!? Awwwwwwwww :)

Now only if I could have seen that smile from ear to ear behind that fish....PRICELESS!
