Picture Day at School - 2010

Ready to go to school - Remember to say CHEESE! :)

2010 - 1st Day of School

This post is a little late, but better late than never. This was the first day to school for the kids...Brady in Kindergarten and Belle in 1st Grade.

I went to their first parent teacher conferences a couple of weeks ago, and as expected, both kids are doing great! Anabelle is one of the best hand writers in her class and she is at the highest reading level in her class...level 16!! Our preemie baby is such a little go getter!! She makes us so proud!! You GO Girl!! :) Brady also had a great conference. His teacher said that Brady is very intelligent but laid back. He is on his own time. :) He knows everything that he should know and more! He goes around the classroom sounding out the words that are on the wall already! :) His teacher said that Brady just cracks him up and he doesn't know where he gets some of the stuff! LOL! That's our baby boy!! Never a dull moment with him around!! Our kids make us so very proud!!

Ready for School

Here are a couple of pics I took a few days ago of the kids and I getting ready to leave the house to start our day.

Here's Brady....can't forget his Leapster, which will be soon replaced with a DS for his birthday...that day can't come soon enough. :)

Here's Belle...sporting her ON pajama pants and her most favorite shirt in the whole wide world from one of her favorite people...her grandma...my mom. She is also wearing a headband of which she has come to love wearing all the time.

Belle's Kindergarten Concert

A couple of weeks ago Anabelle had her Kindergarten concert. It was really cute, and all of the kids did such a wonderful job! Belle looked like such a little grown up up there on that "stage"...seems like just yesterday we were welcoming our little preemie into the world. She has grown up so much in her first year of school...can't believe she will already be in 1st grade in the fall! She will be able to show her little brother "the ropes". :)

So Silly!

Anabelle - The Cheerleader

About a month ago, Anabelle brought home her first Kindergarten project. Her teacher sent each student home with a 3 ft cut out of a body on paper. They were to make this cut out body look like themselves. The day that Anabelle brought hers home, she took it out of her bookbag and was ready to start coloring on it. Good thing Jason walked through the door when he did because he made me realize that this was probably supposed to be a big project that we were supposed to help her with. He was right. I found the paper that explained what we were supposed to do. The parents were supposed to help their child with it and have fun. Ideas she gave was to get buttons to make the clotes look real or use real clothes to put on it, blow up a picture of him/her for their face, etc. I was thinking oh no! This is gonna take some time! The project wasn't due for 2-3 weeks. Good thing Anabelle has her daddy to help her with the big projects because I don't think her mommy would do as good of a job as her daddy does. :)

Meet Anabelle...the cheerleader! :)

She has pom poms, Nike cheerleading shoes with shoe laces, UnderArmor name brand cheerleading outfit, etc....all decked out in her school colors.

Anabelle and Jason had a lot of fun with this project. I have designated him as the "project parent". I will just stick to the easy day to day stuff. :)

It was nice to see all of her classmates and her "persons" displayed in the hallway for Parent-Teacher conferences. I'm thinking this project is a keeper. :)
