He had a great performance last week. He is improving more and more each week! He had so much more confidence last week than the previous weeks. Go Lee!
Yesterday, I went for my 6 month checkup/cleaning at the dentist office, and I'm happy to report that I have no cavities and that all my flossing has paid off! YEAH!! :) It was interesting listening to the two people next to me that came in for their appt. I heard the one guy say that he hadn't been to a dentist since 2008, and the dental hygienest was giving him a hard time for not being in to see a dentist in so long. When she asked him if he was having any problems with his teeth, he said, "Three of them." Then, he went into a lengthy conversation with the problems that he had been having with them. Oh boy! When the dentist came in to see him, I heard him say, "Sounds like we have alot going on here." The guy chuckingly said, "Yes, we do." I hate to be an eavesdropper, but he was RIGHT by me. I got a good little laugh out of the guy's demeanor about the whole thing. He just didn't seem to really care and just wanted them to fix his problems. :)
Then, there was a lady patient on the other side of me that struck up a conversation with her dental hygienest. She also had not been to see a dentist since 2008. She didn't understand how it could have been so long because she takes her kids to the dentist quite often with them having braces. Then they got to talking about some police/ambulance activity that took place at the lady's kid's school, so the lady called the school to make sure everything was okay. The school let her know that her son was fine and that it was to do with something else. The dental hygienest then proceeded to tell the lady that some 16 year old girl had just passed away from a car accident. The lady told the hygienest that she lost her sister at 30 years old 15years ago, and that time doesn't heal a loss...you just learn to cope.
Needless to say, it was quite an interesting dentist appointment! I was just glad to have no cavities and to learn that the inflammation in my gums have went down! :) Back in six months! I just hope that Belle and Brady have as much luck as I have had in the teeth department. Anabelle has already had one cavity filled, so hopefully when the kids go back for their checkup in May, they both get good reports too!!
It has been so nice out this week. I think winter and the snow are finally over!! Spring will be here in a few weeks, and it has me thinking of how our yard will look very soon and how the kids will be able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!
Exactly one month from today, I will be sporting a new cell phone...the Iphone! I cannot wait!! Jason got one back in December and just loves it, and I do too! I didn't think that I would want one, but after seeing his and seeing all the stuff that he can do with it, I really want one now. I'm up for a new phone on March 27th, so hopefully the one that I have now will hold out until then. It is dying a slow death. It makes for texting a pain in the butt because it's been freezing up; doesn't receive long texts all the time; doesn't have a keypad...the list goes on and on. We do a lot of texting...between the both of us ...incoming and outgoing there are about 5,000 a month! Lots to talk about I guess. :) Thank goodness for the unlimited text plan!!
A few weeks ago when we got a few inches of snow, we came home from work with our driveway snow blowed. It was so nice knowing that after a long days of work that Jason wouldn't have to shovel all night. Then, tonight when we come home from work, our driveway and sidewalks were cleared again!! I'm thinking that it has to be Patty's husband, Greg. We are going to have to do something extra special for them!! I just hope that they know how much we appreciate what they have done for us! It's the little things just as simple as this that count. Life is so busy, and it is so nice to get a little break once in awhile. :) We will surely miss the neighbors that we have once we eventually move as we have great neighbors who are great to our kids.
This month has been a busy month. I had a week off of work at Christmas time, and ever since then it's been a busy January. I can't believe that it is going to be time to flip the calendar tomorrow already! I haven't been blogging as much as I would like to, so I'm hoping to blog about our fun and eventful January very soon.
Since Christmas break, we've jumped right back into our busy schedule...Jason on OT, Belle's gymnastics, Brady's story time, Belle's cheerleading, and kids' homework. Belle lost two of her baby teeth this month, which was really exciting for her and a little devastating to me. She looks a couple of years older. Her new teeth have already popped through and are coming in fast! :) Last weekend was Belle's cheerleading competition, and that was a really fun day. Her team took first place. We can't wait for the next competition in May! Soon, the kids will be starting spring soccer. It is just so fun to watch them play. Anabelle has become quite the aggressive little player...knocking them boys down! :)
In the next coming weeks...Anabelle's Kindergarten concert, parent teacher conferences, parent night at daycare, groundhog story time, and the usual stuff...gymnastics, cheerleading, story time...GOOD TIMES!! Loving it! :)
okay...gonna go now...hubby is coming home from store and will be making us nachos for din din and then it's movie time (The Ugly Truth)...Belle's been asleep since about 6pm and Brady's playing his Hot Wheels bike game...life is good ;)
This poem goes out to my mom and stepdad, who are wonderful grandparents to my kids. Even though they have 17 grandkids and one on the way, they make sure to treat all of them equally and show so much love to each and everyone of them. Belle and Brady were overwhelmed with joy a few weeks ago when their grandma and papa made a surprise visit to all of us on their way up to Canada.
and so it goes...
Grandparents are special people with wisdom and pride. They are always offering love and kindness and are always there to guide. They often make you feel so confident and strong. Their arms are always open no matter what you did wrong. They try to help out in every way that they can. They love all their grandchildren the same whether you're a child, woman or man. They are always there to listen and to lend a helping hand. They show you respect and they try to understand. They give their love, devotion and so much more, that's easy to see. Grandparents, what perfect examples of the kind of person that we should be.
Happy Grandparent's Day to all of you grandparent's out there!
Brady has grandparent's day at his preschool tomorrow, and since my mom can't be there to join him, one of our great family friends have volunteered to go in her place. It is so wonderful to have such great friends! I'm so glad that Brady won't be alone tomorrow. I hope that he and his "grandparent" have fun making a craft and having a snack! :)
Happy Mother's Day to all of the Wonderful, Deserving, Hard Working Mommies out there!!

What is a Mother?
A Mother is not just the word that is given a woman who gives birth to a child.
Through love and caring she earns the title of Mother or Ma...or Mom
She is a woman who can be stern without intimidation; without harming the child's soul.
She is a woman who forms a child's mind as well as it's body... with loving care.
She is a woman who keeps promises, whether for rewards or discipline to teach responsibility to her child.
She is a builder of character by doing, not just saying, what is wholesome for her child.
She is a woman who tenderly heals the scrapes and cuts, as well as disappointments of her child.
She is a woman who takes pride in all the smallest of progress and events in her child's life.
She is a former a builder a healer a teacher She is a Mother, often while having a career.
Anybody can be a mom but it takes a real woman to be a mother

She was there at the beginning When the world was new to you - She was there to turn to happy times Those when, you were hurt or blue.
She was there to listen to your thoughts And when you asked, to give advice - She was there to tell you, "Those don't match!" Or, "Hon, you sure look nice."
She was there with you at nighttime To help you say your prayers _ She was there to tell you, "It's alright." When you had a dream that scares.
She was there at morning time To get you up and out of bed - She was there when you didn't feel good (or did) To say, "You'd best stay home, instead."
She was there when you were hungry And when you had those dirty clothes - She was there when you needed her (How she knew? Only heaven knows.)
She was there at the beginning And she'll be there your whole life through - She'll be there in your mind and heart Just like a mother is supposed to do.

When I was working out at the gym the other day, Taylor Swift's new video "The Best Day" came on and it is so fitting for Mother's Day! It is a great video! She has a wonderful relationship with her mom...one of which I intend to have with my babies now and forever! :)
As I was leaving the gym last night, a truck was parked next to my car that had a bumper sticker that read "I'm really speeding because I have to poop!" Now that is a good one! LOL!
Over the past few weeks, we have been blessed with some nice weather...FINALLY!!! The kids have been getting a lot of play time outside...playing at the park, playing outside at home, riding their bikes, etc... It's so nice to finally enjoy the outdoors!!
Anabelle enjoying her Shamrock shake
Brady playing with his toy he got from his Happy Meal :)
Brady just loves playing with sticks! Crazy kid! :)
Yep, that's right!! Yesterday at my performance review with my boss, I was informed that I would be receiving a raise AND a bonus this year...payable to me next week as a matter of fact! I am so thankful to be working where I am because not many people today could probably say that they are actually being awarded with a raise AND a bonus in these hard economic times.
I know that a lot of people are currently being layed off, taking pay cuts, having to take days off unpaid, looking for employment, etc... I am just so blessed that Jason and I have good jobs that continue to be stable in this economy. Jason is actually on overtime if you can believe that.
We are just very blessed to have what we have, that we are able to continue to live the life that we have come accustomed to, and that we are able to provide our kids with everything that they need and more.
So a few weeks ago, I was vacuuming with the vacuum that we have had since we got married, and it just stopped working! We had it for 6 1/2 years, so we definitely got some good use out of it! I consulted with all of my friends on Facebook to see what kind I should buy next, and all of them told me that I just had to go with a Dyson!!
So here it is and it works WONDERS!!!
I'm so glad I listened to all of their advice!! Thanks girls!!
Joaquin Phoenix's interview with David Letterman has to be the most awkward one ever. Watch it below...Enjoy! I'm sure you'll be thinking WTF?? just like I was! :)
I often wonder how can some people be so strange? Even my kids are noticing "weird" people. The other day Brady and I were watching American Idol, and he spotted a singer that was a little odd. He told me, "Mommy, he's weird." I said, "Yeh, he is weird isn't he?" Then, just last night Anabelle saw Rod Blagojevich on TV and she said, "His head is weird." I laughed. It was probably all that hair he has! :) Kids just say the darndest things!
I know that I have been pretty lax on my posts lately, but it was definitely not due to having no blog material as I have had plenty of it! :) The last few weeks have just been so crazy busy!! I find myself rushing everywhere from one place to the next NONSTOP! Jason has been working 7 days a week 12-14 hour days so I have been playing Super Mommy these last few weeks. I just simply have had no time to blog or when I did end up having time, I much rather wanted to catch a few zzzzzz's!
There is an end in sight as Jason will be getting off of this turn around in a couple of weeks...thank goodness!! I miss my husband and the kids miss their daddy! I have been sending him pictures over the phone so that it is like he is there with us when we are on all of our little "adventures."
Yesterday was another busy day as I took the kids to another parade, got Brady's hair cut, and mowed our lawn. I also visited with my brother and his family. They were having a garage sale and I put a few things in it to try to sell. I made a whole $14!!!
Now, I need to get ready to go to my cousin's baby shower.
I am soooooooo looking forward to next weekend as the only thing we have is Anabelle's soccer game...and oh yeah...my friend's bachelorette party...shoot!!
