Happy Grandparent's Day!

This poem goes out to my mom and stepdad, who are wonderful grandparents to my kids. Even though they have 17 grandkids and one on the way, they make sure to treat all of them equally and show so much love to each and everyone of them. Belle and Brady were overwhelmed with joy a few weeks ago when their grandma and papa made a surprise visit to all of us on their way up to Canada.

and so it goes...

Grandparents are special people
with wisdom and pride.
They are always offering love and kindness
and are always there to guide.
They often make you feel
so confident and strong.
Their arms are always open
no matter what you did wrong.
They try to help out
in every way that they can.
They love all their grandchildren
the same whether you're a child, woman or man.
They are always there to listen
and to lend a helping hand.
They show you respect
and they try to understand.
They give their love, devotion and so much more,
that's easy to see.
Grandparents,
what perfect examples
of the kind of person that we should be.

Happy Grandparent's Day to all of you grandparent's out there!

Brady has grandparent's day at his preschool tomorrow, and since my mom can't be there to join him, one of our great family friends have volunteered to go in her place. It is so wonderful to have such great friends! I'm so glad that Brady won't be alone tomorrow. I hope that he and his "grandparent" have fun making a craft and having a snack! :)

Beautiful Sunrise in Myrtle Beach

Our last day in Myrtle Beach and a beautiful sunrise!

I still need to post a blog about all the fun we had...just need time to type it all out!

We got some professional pictures taken on the beach. Check out the link on my Facebook page to see the pics! They turned out pretty good. The family pic in the sand will be our Christmas card this year.

Kindergarten Tomorrow :'(

Little did I know that when my little girl was born....

how fast 5 years would fly by....

Tomorrow marks my baby girl's first day of Kindergarten. I have the day off of work to attend her first day (of orientation) with her. Then, Thursday, it's getting on and off the bus herself, carrying her lunch tray, going to gym class, music, art, and even Spanish! She has been in a school like setting since she was 15 months old and does great with it, but everything will be new to her in Kindergarten...new teacher, new school, new friends, etc. She has been having separation issues with me lately, so I am really hoping that she will be okay and won't freak out. :( I know that all kids do it and that she will be fine, but it's just a big step, ya know?

I'm really hoping that she will have at least one of her little friends from her "old school" in her class so that she won't feel totally out of place. There are eight Kindergarten classes this year!

A few weeks ago, she said, "Mommy, how will I know where my locker is?" That is her watching too much ICarly! :)

Brady told Anabelle tonight, "Anabelle, I will miss you in Kindergarten. Will you miss me in Pre-School?" Awwwwwwwwwww :( This will be the first time that these two will be separated all day. Up until now, they played everyday at "school" together, and sometimes when one would get hurt, their teacher would bring them to see the other to make him/her feel better.

Anabelle's School Supplies List
-1 box of small crayons
-1 pair of fiscar scissors
-2 bottles of glue
-1 set of watercolors
-1 set thick Washable markers
-1 set thin Washable markers
-1 box dry erase markers
-1 plain 3 clasp pocket folder
-1 Pe shirt
-1 pair Velcro shoes for PE class
-1 paint shirt
-Rest Mat
-Headphones

While we were on vacation, I took her shopping to the outlet mall and bought her some really cute clothes, and just this past Sunday, I took her shopping for her lunch bag and bookbag. She will be stylin! :)

My Lil' Soccer Players

The kids played in their first Soccer game of the season on Saturday. They tied with the other team 2-2. Anabelle got some good kicks in during the game, but Brady was in his own little world out there on the field. :) They had a blast and just love when it is time to get their snacks at the end of the game.

Our friend, Dan, is their coach this year, so it's pretty nice that I can catch up with Krissy when I see her at the games and practice (when she decides to go...lol!)

Thanks to my sista, Kyra, and Peanut for coming out to watch the kids play! :)

Cousins Sleepover

A few weeks ago my niece, Ally, stayed the night. Anabelle and Brady were so excited to have their big cousin over for the night! They played all night long.

Home Sweet Home

We returned home today from our 10 day vacay in Myrtle Beach. :( We had a WONDERFUL time...lots of swimming, laying in the sun, lounging by the ocean, playing with the kiddos, shopping, eating out and just chillin! We had great weather and stayed in an unbelievable condo! Everything was just perfect. The only drama that I encountered was Dramamine. LOL! We met a really great family as well and are now friends on Facebook to keep in touch!

There will be a TON of more pics to follow and a detailed blog about what we did each day so that down the road I can read about all of the great memories that were made! I could write a book.

"The best souvenirs are the memories that are made."

Here's a pic of my little surfer girl playing in the ocean! (By the end of our trip she became a little fish!)
