Happy Grandparent's Day!

This poem goes out to my mom and stepdad, who are wonderful grandparents to my kids. Even though they have 17 grandkids and one on the way, they make sure to treat all of them equally and show so much love to each and everyone of them. Belle and Brady were overwhelmed with joy a few weeks ago when their grandma and papa made a surprise visit to all of us on their way up to Canada.

and so it goes...

Grandparents are special people
with wisdom and pride.
They are always offering love and kindness
and are always there to guide.
They often make you feel
so confident and strong.
Their arms are always open
no matter what you did wrong.
They try to help out
in every way that they can.
They love all their grandchildren
the same whether you're a child, woman or man.
They are always there to listen
and to lend a helping hand.
They show you respect
and they try to understand.
They give their love, devotion and so much more,
that's easy to see.
Grandparents,
what perfect examples
of the kind of person that we should be.

Happy Grandparent's Day to all of you grandparent's out there!

Brady has grandparent's day at his preschool tomorrow, and since my mom can't be there to join him, one of our great family friends have volunteered to go in her place. It is so wonderful to have such great friends! I'm so glad that Brady won't be alone tomorrow. I hope that he and his "grandparent" have fun making a craft and having a snack! :)

Well said Kelli! Your Mom is such a good grandparent.....when she is here I know she has to be so worn out making sure she spends time with each one of them! You are so lucky to have her! I am so glad that you found someone to go with Brady......It makes me so sad to think he would have been the only one there without a grandparent! Poor Brady!
Love you guys!

I hope the day went good for Brady! I was thinking about him all day. I can not believe Kelli how much they have grown....when I last saw them they were both so big! How times flies...we need to get together soon, before they forget who in the hell I am! Joey wants to come too because he said your house is the "best toy house ever!"
