A Day of Pampering

A couple of weekends ago, I took the kids out for a day of pampering. Jason has been working six days a week, so its just me and the kids on Saturdays. Anabelle had been talking about wanting to get her nails done for quite awhile, so I decided to take her to the nail salon to get her her very first manicure. She looked like a little pro sitting there in the chair. It looked like she has done it a million times before. :)

After her nails were done, I took Brady for a haircut. He looks like such a little man when he gets a haircut. I love it! Once we were done at the salon, I took the kids to Subway for lunch. It was a nice fun day for us. Now, I just need to find a day of pampering for me! LOL! :)

Here are some pics of our fun day together!

Halloween

Our subdivision has got to be the BEST place ever to go trick-or-treating!! We've got the Beetlejuice house, the jello shot house, a couple of different houses that have haunted garages that you can walk through, a really cool house that has their yard totally decked out in scary creatures, etc. Each year we go with a group of friends and we have a blast! The weather was fairly decent as the kids did not have to wear any type of coat that would cover up their costumes. This year Anabelle was Morticia, and Brady was a pirate. Even Jason dressed up this year as a scary backwards clown. The kids got a kick out of it!

After we got home from trick or treating, we headed to my brother's house. He has a whole haunted house themed yard that he puts on each year scaring anyone who comes up for candy. His yard looked really really good! Jason was all set to be part of the action as he was still in his costume, but the "party" was already over. :)

ARRRRRRGGG MATEY!

Pumpkin Carving

Here are some pics of pumpkin carving at our house this year. Jason loves doing this with the kids each year. I get pretty lucky in that I just have to worry about the cleanup ;). The kids had so much fun, and the pumpkins turned out pretty awesome! It was a fun family night!

My Sleepy Babies

Anabelle and Brady have always been so good when it comes to bedtime even when they were babies. They just love their sleep! :) Each night before I go to bed, I just love giving them one more kiss and making sure that they are still tucked in. I could sit there and stare at them all night long just watching them sleep...my sweet babies.

Here they are trying to watch TV but just couldn't stay awake...

Anabelle is starting to take over my blanket to be like her mommy! :)

Anabelle - The Cheerleader

About a month ago, Anabelle brought home her first Kindergarten project. Her teacher sent each student home with a 3 ft cut out of a body on paper. They were to make this cut out body look like themselves. The day that Anabelle brought hers home, she took it out of her bookbag and was ready to start coloring on it. Good thing Jason walked through the door when he did because he made me realize that this was probably supposed to be a big project that we were supposed to help her with. He was right. I found the paper that explained what we were supposed to do. The parents were supposed to help their child with it and have fun. Ideas she gave was to get buttons to make the clotes look real or use real clothes to put on it, blow up a picture of him/her for their face, etc. I was thinking oh no! This is gonna take some time! The project wasn't due for 2-3 weeks. Good thing Anabelle has her daddy to help her with the big projects because I don't think her mommy would do as good of a job as her daddy does. :)

Meet Anabelle...the cheerleader! :)

She has pom poms, Nike cheerleading shoes with shoe laces, UnderArmor name brand cheerleading outfit, etc....all decked out in her school colors.

Anabelle and Jason had a lot of fun with this project. I have designated him as the "project parent". I will just stick to the easy day to day stuff. :)

It was nice to see all of her classmates and her "persons" displayed in the hallway for Parent-Teacher conferences. I'm thinking this project is a keeper. :)

Popcorn Ball Time

After we got home from the pumpkin farm/halloween costume adventure, Jason made popcorn balls with the kids while mommy supervised and took pictures...steering clear of the gooey stuff. :) The kids had a blast and loved every minute of it. I think they are ol' popcorn ball pros now...just like their daddy! They turned out really yummy!!

Here are some pics...

**jammies came off while they were making the popcorn balls to ensure that there would be no sticky messy jammies in the process :)
