Funny Bumper Sticker

As I was leaving the gym last night, a truck was parked next to my car that had a bumper sticker that read "I'm really speeding because I have to poop!" Now that is a good one! LOL!

Fishin' Buddies

On Sunday, I took Anabelle to her little friend's birthday party to a bouncy house place, which was really cool. The kids had a blast. Anabelle was a little reluctant to go in everything at first, but once she found Allie, they were off and running. They are at such a cute age where they are getting invited to each others birthday parties, having boyfriends, etc. :). I can't wait to see what goes on at Anabelle and Brady's party next month with having all of their little friends there!

While we were out having our "girls day" on Sunday, Brady and Jason had a "boys day" of their own. Jason took Brady fishing for the first time out at the club. Jason has just been so busy working the past couple of years that he just hasn't had the time to go fishing but made it a point to take Brady out fishing on Sunday.

When I was at home with Anabelle, I received a text message from Jason that had this picture attached....

How SWEEEEEET is that?!?!? Awwwwwwwww :)

Now only if I could have seen that smile from ear to ear behind that fish....PRICELESS!

Week of the Young Child

Last week was Week of the Young Child at the kids' school. Each day, there was a different activity, which included Face Painting Day, Bring Your Pet to School Day, Earth Day, Visitor Day, and Balloon Release Day.

On face painting day, Anabelle, of course, got a unicorn painted on her face, and Brady got an alien. By the time, I picked the kids up, Brady had already wiped his painting off of his face. Anabelle still had hers though and loved to show it off at gymnastics. Since Brady had already wiped his off, I wasn't able to see it, but the way he described it, I was able to get a good visual...so funny! Their teacher was so nice to email me the pics below...

Since we don't have any pets besides Sea Monkeys (didn't want them to get spilled :)), the kids got to bring in a stuffed animal. Brady brought in his iguana, and Anabelle picked out the puppy dog that her Grandma Frost got her last year when she got her tonsils and adenoids removed. Their teacher was so nice to email me the pics below as well...

Earth day was celebrated by the kids wearing green, bringing in recycables, and talking about the Earth. Anabelle wore her new t-shirt that I just bought her at the Children's Place. The all green shirt has a clover on it and a saying that said "Lucky to be Me!". She has never really worn green, and I was surprised to see how cute she looked in the color...suits her very well! Brady wore his Sanibel Island green t-shirt that has a skeleton face and bones on the front that glow in the dark...super cool! The kids were sent home with a packet of wildflower seeds to be planted in the yard.

Visitor day was a day that they didn't really participate in as they had no visitor. Anabelle was upset that she didn't get to bring her mommy in, but I told her that I would be there next time. Muffins with Mom (for Mother's Day) is just right around the corner! :)

Balloon Release Day was on Friday. The director had most of the balloons all ready to go Thursday night, but when I dropped the kids off Friday morning, most of those balloons were all on the floor...helium didn't last. So....needless to say, the director was busy with balloons Friday morning! Brady was asking her what had happened to all of the balloons. :)

Each day as we left, the kids were able to pick out a different kind of snack each day, including cookies, fruit snacks, goldfish crackers...etc. On cookie day, the kids were loaded up with as much as they could hold...and mommy grabbed a few too!

We are looking forward to next month's activities...which include our baby girl graduating from pre-school....I may have to bring a few tissues for that! :(

Easter Time Fun...Part I

Every Easter, it seems like the kids see the Easter Bunny a multitude of times, and they always go to a few different Easter Egg hunts. This year, the kids saw the Easter Bunny three times and took part in four Easter Egg hunts (two of which were at our house...to be posted at a later date :)).

When we went to visit the Easter Bunny the first time, Belle asked me if he was wearing a costume. I was caught a little off guard and didn't know how to answer that one! Then, one day she asked me if Easter Bunnies ride in cars. I told her yes that they can ride in cars, and then she said, "But their ears stick up." (Boy...do I have a smart lil girl on my hands!) I told her the bunny will just have to hang his head out the window I guess. :)

Below are some pics of the kids having some Easter time fun...

And he is off...

Then it was Belle's turn :)

A Day at the Zoo

Last month, we had a really nice weekend, so we decided to take the kids to the zoo for the first time this year. Since it was so nice out, we thought that it would be really crowded, but it wasn't. We ended the day with taking the kids on the carousel, which they just love.

We had a really nice family day together!

Brushing the goat...the kids just love to do this

Is Billy Bob Trying to Outdo Joaquin?!?

Watch out Joaquin...you definitely have some competition!! Another weirdo is on the loose!!

Yesterday, Billy Bob Thornton and his band, the Boxmasters, appeared on a Canadian radio station for an interview. Billy Bob was acting VERY VERY odd.

Not long ago, Joaquin was interviewed by David Letterman, which was another WEIRD interview that I blogged about. Hollywood is becoming Hollyweird!!

This interview is 13 minutes in length, so it may be a little long but definitely worth watching!

Check out just how weird he was!! How can people be so strange?!?!

I just don't get it!

Our WONDERFUL Babysitters

Jason and I have gone out more in the past few months than we have in the past few years! It is so comforting to know that our kids are in such great hands with our babysitters. The kids just adore them so much, and I know the babysitters adore them just as much! :)

We have been blessed with two wonderful babysitters!

Meet Miss Grace...she has helped take care of Anabelle and Brady since they started daycare. She is AWESOME with the kids and know them so well! She brings crafts for the kids to do and she even bought them a present. They are holding them in the photo...she bought Belle a peek-a-boo Barbie and Brady a remote control dog....so sweet!!

Meet Jennifer...we found her through friends of ours that have used her to babysit. One night Miss Grace was sick and couldn't babysit, so Jennifer came to the rescue to babysit for us for the first time. She is also SUPER good with the kids! She just took a babysitter course, and she brought books for the kids to read to them! She even did Anabelle's hair in the pic below! She lives in our subdivision, so that is a plus too!!

Thanks girls for being such WONDERFUL babysitters to our babies!! We are truly grateful!

Our New Furniture is HUGE and SUUUUUPPPEEER COMFY!!!

The chair makes Anabelle look like a little midget!

Braxton's Birthday Party

Last month, we went to Braxton's 5th birthday party. Anabelle and Brady had a ball playing with all of the kids. Anabelle was so wore out when we got home that she fell asleep at 6pm and was out for the night! I told Alicia that we need to have play dates more often! :)

I can't believe that our babies are turning 5 this year and going off to kindergarten in August! :(

Quotes From My Black Eyed Girl

Today, Anabelle asked me "Mommy, How do dreams come true?"

...and just now she told me "Mommy, I have a big problem...can you help me with it?"

:) I just love how she still calls me "Mommy" and hope that it doesn't go away anytime soon!

What....a RAISE AND a BONUS????

Yep, that's right!! Yesterday at my performance review with my boss, I was informed that I would be receiving a raise AND a bonus this year...payable to me next week as a matter of fact! I am so thankful to be working where I am because not many people today could probably say that they are actually being awarded with a raise AND a bonus in these hard economic times.

I know that a lot of people are currently being layed off, taking pay cuts, having to take days off unpaid, looking for employment, etc... I am just so blessed that Jason and I have good jobs that continue to be stable in this economy. Jason is actually on overtime if you can believe that.

We are just very blessed to have what we have, that we are able to continue to live the life that we have come accustomed to, and that we are able to provide our kids with everything that they need and more.

P.S. I see another vacation on the horizon! :)
